Alumna Spotlight: Thomasina Greene

Class of 1942.  Recipient of a certificate in piano performance from Juilliard in 1932, began her career by teaching in a then-segregated secondary school in Missouri. After holding other teaching positions in Texas and North Carolina, she received a Rockefeller Fund Fellowship in 1939 and enrolling at Teachers College. She worked steadily as a concert pianist, opened a music studio in Missouri, and taught in Lincoln University’s department of Music.
