MENC Music Education Week 2010

| June 17, 2010

Registration is still open for MENC Music Education Week 2010!

Music Education Week is a new annual event created by MENC at the direction of the MENC National Executive Board. It is built around a new format, different from that of past national biennial conferences. This format is designed to provide members with opportunities for music education advocacy, intensive professional development, and performances in a destination location on an annual basis, and during the summer instead of the school year.

The event takes place June 25-29 in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and if you are a collegiate MENC member (as all current TC members are eligible to be) the following two academies are entirely free of charge to attend!
Collegiate MENC Leadership and New Teachers Academy (“Learn the skills that you need to face practical and political challenges while leading others in affecting positive improvement and change in music education.” Featuring “Using Technology to Keep You Sane” by TC’s Dr. Jim Frankel!)
In-Ovations Academy (“for teachers of non-traditional curricula”)
