IF YOU ARE PRE-SERVICE OR CURRENTLY STUDENT TEACHING, THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO GAIN HANDS ON PERCUSSION INSTRUCTION IN A GROUP SETTING WILL BE INVALUABLE.

DO YOU KNOW how to play a flam, paradiddle, roll on a snare drum?
Come learn *drum stick technique, *percussion notation, *snare drum rudiments, *cymbal techniques, *bass drum technique, *hand percussion *elementary general music percussion techniques *alternative percussion

Lastly, we will take the technique we learned in the workshop and in the last 45 minutes or so, participate in learning a percussion ensemble piece.

When: Friday, November 5th
Time: 5-8pm
Where: Horace Mann 4th Floor
Fee: $10: No pre- registration: Simply attend
What: Everybody will go home with a pair of drumsticks
What Then: Leave having learned basic percussion essentials in Music Ed
Then What: We will have a social event after the class at Havana Central
between 113th and 114th Street on Broadway.
