A Word from Keisha Hirlinger, Performance Director

| September 28, 2011

I am the go-to person to help you with anything performance related. Whether it be your recital for your degree requirement, or a performance that you just want to put together to show your work. If you have an outside ensemble or know of a group that would like to come to TC, that all comes through me and the Music and Music Education office. Some of the new features that I have created to help streamline the performance process is to provide a Student Recital form, to help student performer organize everything that they might need for their performance. In addition, I have created a Student Recital and Musical Performance Program guideline sheet, so that students know what is expected of them when writing a program for their performance.

All of these will be made available online through the Music and Music Education website, as well as in hard copy form in the Music and Music Education office. Sample programs to help you design a strong program will be available in hard copy form in the Music Ed library (in the Music Ed office) as well as online along with the Program Guidelines sheet.

If you have any questions or concerns or need help during your preparation for your recital or musical performance, please do not hesitate to contact me at keh2153@tc.columbia.edu

Happy Performing!
