Job Opening for Vocalists with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West ☆

| February 2, 2012

Dear Colleagues:

We have a professional performing opportunity for qualified vocalists!  The
United States Air Force Band of the Golden West has an opening for male or
female vocalist.  As a musician, educator and/or administrator, I hope you
can help me in locating talented performers who may be interested in
auditioning for a position in the United States Air Force Band of the Golden
West.

We are located in one of the most popular destinations for Air Force Bands
musicians – Travis Air Force Base in sunny, northern California.  Located
between San Francisco and Sacramento and only minutes from Napa Valley, this
is a great location to start an Air Force career.

We offer a salary of $31,375-$39,000 annually with full medical and dental
benefits, 30 days paid vacation per year, college loan repayment up to
$10,000 and GI Bill for college up to $80,000.  As a member of the AF Band
of the Golden West, we are full time, active duty professional musicians for
the Air Force – which means that although we attend basic training just like
every other airman, we spend all of our time working to support the band
program.  If we deploy, we go as musicians to perform for troops.

Please post the enclosed flyer for your students to see and help distribute
the packet of information.  The United States Air Force Band of the Golden
West awards qualified individuals an opportunity to grow as musicians in a
professional environment.  More importantly, the Air Force offers job
security and stability in an increasingly competitive field.  For more in
depth information about the USAF Band Career field, specifically the Band of
the Golden West, visit our web site at:

Audition materials (resume, CD) are due by Feb 28 and our live audition will
be held at Travis AFB on April 2, 2012.
